Lavender Plant Care Class
May 25 @ 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm$40
Lavender is immensely rewarding to grow, but for many people it is frustrating or disappointing. Caring for lavender requires a very different set of techniques than most plants, and in this region it takes a few extra steps to help deal with clay soil and humidity. We have spent nine years selecting varieties and refining our methods. Now that we will be selling plants this spring, it is only fitting that we offer care tips to keep those plants alive and happy!
This class covers your involvement in the whole life cycle of the plant with segments on:
Selecting the right variety for you
How to site and plant
How to train and shape a plant in its early stages to lead to a long life of maximum flower production.
A brief introduction to drying and using the lavender you harvest will be included.
Please bring a photo, preferably a top view, of any lavender plants you currently grow. This will help us get you up and running.
Class includes hands on experience trimming and propagating lavender. You will leave with cuttings to care for.
