About

Soleado Lavender Farm
Innovative Practices: Artisanal farming is a hands-on labor of love from start to finish. Lavender is grown from cuttings, the couple start in an aquaponics system designed by Kevin. Harvesting, and essential oil distillation are all conducted by hand. After it is aged 4 to 6 months the oil is then used in the production of bath and household products.
Kevin is the first person credited with starting lavender plants in aquaponics. The farm offers aquaponic raised lavender plants in the spring and fall.
In the fall of 2024 the farm began a two year project of
removing all excess plastics from the operation. Transitioning off of
standard organic practices of using plastic ground cover, moving to cultivation
methods that further support the natural beauty and health of the land. As well as reducing all single use plastic in the greenhouse.
