A vigorous variety with beautiful dark blue, purple flower spikes. A large plant 30”x36” tall x 36” wide.
Known for humidity and clay soil Maryland is not the ideal climate for lavender, however it can be grown successfully if you allow extra space between plants and avoid mulch. Lavender requires harvesting to care for the plant, flower stems should be cut off after they bloom. Lavender can be grown in a container or in the ground and requires full sun, French lavender is larger than other varieties and should be grown in 24” pots. In the ground allow a minimum of 2 feet on either side of your plant.
